| Abstract;Arcing horn installed on a line post (LP) insulator protects 20kV distribution line from thunderbolt damage by releasing arce generated between arcing horns, but, has no ability to cut off the current and causes a minute power breakdown by arc on follow current.An arcing horn for follow-current cutoff on line post has been developed by fixing a follow-current cutoff arcing for 77kV transmission line only on the line. The performance is evaluated through field tests. |
