| Abstract;Redox flow cells are new secondary battery mainly used for load leveling in commercial buildings and factories. R&D of multifunctional redox flow cell system has been carried out in order to use for various purposes such as compensation for instantaneous voltage drop and stand-by power source at power cut. As a compensation function against instantaneous voltage drop, it can supply for about 10s to the load of about 5 times. As a power cut compensation function, the operation has no problems by a system in which the pump is started at power cut with energy of the electrolytic solution in the cell to circulate the electrolytic solution, and it is proved that it can be used at an output of several times of rated power corrsponding to the compensation period. |
