| Abstract;A case was the 67-year-old woman. The diffusive erythema appeared after 12 days of the allopurinol dose in the whole-body, and the erythema region exfoliated in next day, and it expanded to the whole-body. The patient was hospitalized by the doubt of toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) type drug eruption. The erosion gradually epithelialized by the steroid mass therapy using predonine 60mg/kg. It deteriorated again during the predonine tapering, and the symptom was improved by the increase of the dose. In drug lymphocyte stimulation test, allopurinol and alloxanthine were negatives. Patch test and internal test could not be performed. It was indicated that steroid mass therapy was effective for toxic epidermal necrolysis. |
