Abstract;A density wave in quark matter at finite temperature is analysed in the framework of the condensed matter physics of QCD. The density wave arises along with the chiral condensation. It is described as a dual standing wave in scalar and pseudo-scalar condensates on the chiral circle, and it reflects the many-body effects. Concrete calculations are performed in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with 2 flavors and 3 colors, and a phase diagram of the dual chiral density wave is presented in the temperature-density plane. A magnetic property of the density wave is also discussed.
