Abstract;Chramydomonas W80 (CMW) strains which are a kind of marine plant planktons, have surprisingly high resistance to active oxygen stress. In this study, was isolated gene relating to active oxygen removing capacity from CMW strains to introduce it into plants, so as to enable to add the excellent capacity with CMW strains. Among two kinds of peroxytase enzymes relating to the active oxygen stress removal isolated from CMW strains, ascorbate oxytase and gultathione peroxytase were introduced to representative crops of rice and representative model test plants of tobacco, relatively, to try to improve their environmental stress resistance. As a result, it was confirmed that by introducing gene resistances of these plants to active oxygen, their resistances to high salt concentration and low temperature stress could be improved.
