Abstract; The enzyme reactivity in amylase activaty measurement differs according to the type of used substrate and the amount ratio of isoenzyme. Therefore, the selection of patient's serum used in the correlational analysis is important in the assessment of reactivity. In the assessment, at least more than 200 patients' serums are necessary. In addition, in the selection of the patients' serums, whether the samples with P/T (P-AMY/T-AMY) ratio 0.4-0.6 or P/S (P-AMY/S-AMY) ratio about 0.67-1.5 are used, or after a lot of daily samples (more than 500) are measured, deviated samples are deleted by estimating the estranged samples from the regression formula of the measured values. Also, as the criterion for the suitability of the sample for the enzyme reactivity assesment, relative residue less than .+-.10% is appropriate.
