Abstract;Endometrial changes with menstrual cycle, endometrial changes around menopause, and ultrasonic findings suggesting uterine cancer are outlined, and the ultrasonic images of 2 uterine cancer cases (51- and 50-year-old) are introduced as actual examples. Also, histological classification of ovarian cancer, echo pattern classification of ovarian tumor, cautionary notes for the interpretation of ultrasonic ovarian images, and ultrasonic findings suggesting ovarian cancer are described, and a case in a 31-year-old woman (serous cystadenocarcinoma) is presented as an actual example. The ultrasonic image in uterine cancer diagnosis plays a role as the first detection survey, and the diagnosis is made by the histological diagnosis. Since early subjective symptom is scarce in ovarian cancer, ultrasonography is important from the viewpoint of early diagnosis. In the ultrasonic tomography diagnosis of recent gynaecologic region, transvaginal ultrasonography using transvaginal probe, blood flow rate measurement using colored Doppler method (resistance coefficient, beat index) and the utilization of 3D images are noticed.
