| Abstract; The genetic background for crisis/progress of diabetes mellitus II ia described, and the present state of genome wide case-control correlation analysis on diabetes mellitus II with SNP as a marker by high-speed and large SNP (single base polymorphism) typing system is introduced. As a method of searching the gene related to diabetes mellitus II, first of all, about 100,000 SNP typing was carried out for 188 cases of diabetes mellitus II and 564 cases in the general group as a control, and the distribution of the genotype was comparatively examined by chi-square test or Fischer's direct method. As for statistically significant SNP locus, re-analysis was carried out using much more cases, and the identification of the gene locus related to the crisis and progress of diabetes mellitus II was tried. So far, 83,540 SNP loci have been analyzed, and 2,015 candidate regions have been obtained. |
