Abstract; We proposed an objective evaluation method that coincided with MOS of subjective evaluation method, using ESNR of the measure of approximation by the visual model. We used five kind of modulation method of two-value ordered dither, least mean error, and pulse density four division, simple two-value, and random dither. The purpose of this paper is too investigating the validity of ESNR, in which we compare PSNR, WSNR of usual method with MOS and then compare ESNR of proposed method with MOS, also compare GSNR too proposed more newly with MOS using the above five modulation method. The results of a series of experiments show that ranking by MOS doesn't coincide with PSNR, WSNR and GSNR, but coincide with ESNR. (author abst.)
