| Abstract; We propose an application of the ridgelet transform for semantic objects that are produced by watershed segmentation. The ridgelet transform is effective for representing line singularities. Therefore, it is a powerful tool for coding. Moreover, it offers an advantageous property for block rotation by a shift operation in the ridgelet domain. The rotating target is not a rectangular block but a real object. We divide a picture into semantic objects. Subsequently, each object is converted by the ridgelet transform. In this paper, we mention the reason why objective segmentation must be applied. Then we describe our method for rotation. A simple simulation of rotation demonstrates our proposed method. (author abst.) |
