Abstract;Umbilical hernia is a common disorder in infants. Most patients resolve spontaneously within several years and need no surgical intervention because of a very low rate of complication. However, the umbilicus is an important aesthetic detail in the abdominal wall. Therefore we have been conducting strapping therapy for infantile umbilical hernia using a sponge. This therapy is an effective procedure for beautiful plasty of infantile umbilical hernia. (author abst.)
