Abstract; The optimal surgical approach to gastroschisis may differ depending on each patient's condition. Although primary repair or staged repair can be performed in the treatment of gastroschisis, the best method should be chosen for each patient Recent advances in neonatal intensive care, including antibiotic therapy, have reduced the possibility of infection. Furthermore, a new preformed silo-bag has enabled us to perform staged repair easily and safely. Patients with gastroschisis in Saitama Children's Medical Center are clinically evaluated, and suitable treatment is recommended. (author abst.)
