Abstract;In this paper, a visual simulation with view-dependent culling and level-of-detail (LOD) is proposed, which represents efficiently high frequency electromagnetic wave propagation used in wireless communication systems. In order to solve difficulty of interactive visualization of volume data representing the propagation in large and complex urban space, view-dependent culling of volume data is introduced, which are generated by beam tracing. In addition to applying LOD to definition of the volume data, number of volume data is restricted within a limit under which can generate and visualize the data interactively. Consequently, the proposed system can visualize the propagation with both of necessary precision and interactive manipulation. (author abst.)
