Abstract; The diagnosis of pulmonary infections is important to decide the treatment regime and to protect the nosocomial infections in the hospitals. The immunochromatography method is mainly used in the test kit of rapid diagnosis. The antigen of pathological microorganisms is detected from the pharyngeal and nasal swabs for Influenza, Adeno, and Respiratory syncytial viruses and Streptococcus, group A and from serum specimen for Mycoplasma and from urine specimen for Streptococcus pneumoniae. It takes 10-25 minutes to give a decision. The rates of sensitivity, specificity and concordance in each test kit of rapid diagnosis were 60-100%, 95-100% and 70-100%, respectively. The test kit of rapid diagnosis is useful in the medical facilities, especially at the emergency departments. (author abst.)
