Abstract;CPR and life support in the pediatric age group should be part of a community-wide chain of survival that links the child to the best hope of survival following emergencies that involve trauma. Consistent with this context, PALS should focus not only on resuscitation technique per se, but also on injury prevention, transport medicine, and trauma care system. The final target of PALS education is to offer sick children minimum care which makes it possible for them to receive a high quality of pediatric critical care. (author abst.)
