Abstract;Trauma of the genitourinary tract is not rare in children. Although most of these traumas do not threaten the patients' lives, they may influence their quality of life later in life, and therefore management for these children must be designed to preserve organ function. Treatment is principally the same as that in adult patient, but care must be taken to look for preexisting urinary tract anomalies or child abuse. (author abst.)
