Abstract; The formalism of the second quantization is proposed, in which the boson vacuum forms a sea, like the Dirac sea for fermions, consisting all the filled negative energy states. A hole due to the annihilation of one negative energy bosons is interpreted as one anti-particle. This formulation is based on the notion of a double harmonic oscillator, admitting positive as well as negative energy states. The double harmonic oscillator model is made possible by extending the analyticity condition on the wavefunctions. The negative norm problem is solved, and it is shown that all the states form a Hilbert space. The formulation is consistent with the supersymmetry. Possible applications of this formalism to the anomalies of boson theories and the string theories are discussed.
