| Abstract;Nachi has developed various technologies that relates to the reduction of friction and wear in a great deal as seen in bearings, hydraulic equipment, cutting tools, heat treatment and surface treatment. When these technologies are outlined from the tribological viewpoint, a greater understanding of these products and tribology will be achieved and better functions and performances can be brought out. Even small things that are happening around us can be understood easily when these are observed from the tribological viewpoint. There are many interesting occurrences that may be seen.
