| Abstract; The observation of the liver region by colored Doppler method is outlined. 1) Observation procedure of colored Doppler method (movement of the probe, adjustment of the gain, adjustment of pulse repetition frequency (PRF), response according to the position of area of interest, adjustment of Doppler display range, angle compensation), 2) the limit of Doppler diagnosis, and 3) intrahepatic blood vessel and hepatic tumor (differentiation of intrahepatic blood vessel: hepatic vein, portal vein, hepatic artery, Doppler finding of representative hepatic tumors: hepatoma, metastatic liver cancer, hemangioma, local nodular hyperplasia), are described. The observation by the B-mode fault is performed sufficiently to decide the observation region. The condition for keeping the optimum sensitivity is preset to suppress the effect of the artifact produced by the movement of the probe. Since it is difficult to display in color when the blood flow is slow or thin, high frequency wave is used for superficial region, and low frequency wave is used for deep region. In the case of classical hepatoma, pulsatile blood inflow to the inside of tumor is observed as a rich color signal. Within the tumor, blood flow signals showing linearity, branch, curvature, meander and caliber irregularity are perceived. |
