| Abstract;Clinical test items used in the treatment of periodontal diseases of diabetic patients are outlined. The value of serum IgG antibody for periodontal bacteria rises in many periodontal patients, and it is an index to the therapeutic effect judgment, since it lowers with the cure. Supersensitive CRP value rises reflecting slight chronic inflammation, and it rises by periodontitis and lowers with the cure. In Japanese diabetic patients, supersensitive CRP value correlates closely with insulin resistance. TNF-.ALPHA. induces insulin resistance through the receptor. In the male cases of diabetes mellitus II complicated with periodontitis, 3 items of serum IgG antibody value, supersensitive CRP and TNF-.ALPHA. lowered and hemogulobin A1C lowered from 7% to 5.8% after the periodontitis therapy. The lowering of hemogulobin A1C was regarded to be brought about through the improvement of insulin resistance, since the endogenous insulin secretion lowered obviously. |
