| Abstract;A case of in-hospital cardiac arrest with prolonged QTc in ECG and takotsubo cardiomyopathy after resuscitation is presented in this paper. A patient was sent to our hospital on suspicion of uterine myoma and common cold, and she was urgenly hospitalized under the diagnosis of giant hydatidiform mole. Cardiac arrest occurred in a ward before examinations in the hospital. It was supposed that there were undernutrition because of hyperemesis, infection, anorexia and vomiting before hospitalization, and malignant ventricular arrhythmias occurred by torsades de pointes secondary to acquired prolonged QT syndrome or by hypokalemia In conclusion, it is necessary to grasp the disease state immediately in a case of urgent hospitalization and apply prompt defibrillation after cardiac arrest.
