Abstract;The discrete light-cone quantization is considered for the scalar field theory on the 10-dimensional maximally supersymmetric pp-wave background. The quantization is shown to be performed in the similar way as in the 2-dimensional Minkowski spacetime. The vacuum energy is derived from the vacuum expectation value of the light-cone Hamiltonian. The results agree completely with the effective potential derived previously.
