Abstract;Recently, the WWW (World Wide Web) has been attracting much attention as a predominant method of sharing information. However, when users want to provide multimedia contents, they must learn how to use authoring software or how to write HTML documents. In addition, the layout of provided information depends on information sharing systems, whereby users can not provide information using uninhibited layout. There problems decrease the usability. In this paper, we propose a usable information-sharing system based on a large Web page called a "Big Black Board." In Big Black Board, users can own a place for providing information on the place for exchanging information such as a large Web page. Any user who is unfamiliar knowledge of information technology can provide multimedia contents easily on the Big Black Board. Furthermore, users can post information using uninhibited layout wherever they want on the large Web page of the Big Black Board. (author abst.)
