| Abstract;Assuming that the size of the black hole (BH) is small compared to the extra dimensions and the tension of the brane is negligible, we have considered a system consisting of a brane and a BH. We studied the dynamical evolution of a brane in the gravitational field of a BH which has some initial velocity. It is shown that,irrespectively of the initial velocity, the brane bends around the BH, suggesting that the BH might escape into the extra dimensions. This gives a dynamical mechanism for the creation of baby branes. |
