| Abstract; In spite of the excellent grinding benefits, grinding tends to be avoided for some reasons. It is because there are too many types of grinding wheels to choose and it is difficult to understand the dressing and truing technologies. In addition, the grinding technology with super abrasive grains has not been fully developed. On the other hand, the fact that such technology is developing yet implies that it is possible with individual, unique know-how to develop a proprietary technology that cannot be emulated by others. At Nachi, grinding is widely used and the cutting-edge super precision grinders are also manufactured. Nachi is expected to lead the industry in developing grinding technology as an industry driving force in the future, as well. (author abst.) |
