Abstract;Classical solutions of open string theory are constructed which are not invariant under ordinary twist operation. These solutions are characterized by a rational function g(w) containing two parameters. Detailed analysis of the moduli space of the solutions (the zero points of g(w)) is performed to find that the solutions become nontrivial at the boundaries of the moduli space (when some zeros reach unit circle). From the analysis of the cohomology of the modified BRST operator and of the cubic string field theory potential derived by the level truncation method suggests that the nontrivial solutions correspond the the closed string vacuum. The conformal map is given which maps these solutions to the twist even solutions found by Takahashi et al.
