| Abstract; This study continues to develop compact high-torque fluid motors. We have already proposed several fluid motor prototypes named "Crown Motor". This paper proposes a new driving mechanism with cams instead of the crown gears in Crown Motors. The new motor mainly consists of two wave-shaped cams, linear piston-cylinders and mechanical valves. The linear pistons are sandwiched in between the two wave-shaped cams. The pistons extend both directions and cams rotate with balanced piston forces. The reduction ratio can also be configured widely compared with crown motors. The prototype accomplished 1.2 Nm at 60rpm under 0.2MPa and with efficiency 18%. (author abst.) |
