Abstract;This report describes a challenge to miniaturize proportional control valves. First, we decide the specification of a proportional control valve from demanded control time and working pressure range. Second, we calculate the flow rate to meet the demanded control time. Then we verify them experimentally. The size of the orifice to secure the flow rate is verified experimentally. Next, we propose a new structure of a proportional valve appropriate for its miniaturization, and verify the proposed structure using its macromodel. Finally, we propose a new concept of vibration valves to miniaturize valves. (author abst.)
