Abstract; As biological organisms live on oxygen, they cannot avoid the involvement with active oxygens. Active oxygens have been considered to be problematic molecules to bring about oxidative injuries to the organisms, while they have been revealed to play an important role for the control of physiological functions of cells. Everybody agrees that phosphorylation-dephosphorization is important for intracellular informational transduction. Activities of enzymes to take part in the reaction are influenced by oxidation-reduction state of their intramolecular specific sites. This article outlines that active oxygens are key molecules to control the activities.
