Abstract;".MU.-TAN" will allow a close encounters with the micro world through micro fingers with guide robot and virtual reality (here after VR) human interface systems. ".MU.-TAN" can manipulate a single fish's egg (.PHI.1mm) and a hair (.PHI.100.MU.m), for example. Research themes of the project contain development of microfinger, pneumatic driving and control system, a guide robot, and VR human interface system. (author abst.)
