Abstract; We tried to microencapsulate Hem Iron particles by the mechanical coating method to cover the black color of Hem Iron and increase the waterproof of them. As the shell materials, stearic acid, a few of polysaccharides and aliphatic esters were used. In the experiment the rotating time of roller and the added amount of Hem Iron and shell material were changed stepwise. As the rotating time was increased, the brightness of microcapsules was increased. However, at the more rotating time, the brightness of capsules was decreased due to the separation of shell materials. It was found that aspartame, tripalmitin, tristearine resulted in the highest brightness of capsules. (author abst.)
