Abstract;The pigmented colorants were observed by following methods. 1) Quantity of colorants on the surface: To evaluate quantity of colorants on the surface of coated layer, media were milled by FIB and ultra microtome. In comparison with ultra microtome, FIB remained colorants layer and micro porous structure in original state. 2) Surface roughness: Print gloss is related to surface roughness. Surface roughness of printed paper was observed by three different microscopic approaches (confocal microscope, 3D-SEM, AFM). Atomic force microscope is suitable method to measure the surface roughness. (author abst.)
