| Abstract;A case with the above-mentioned disease in a 9-year-old girl was reported. Chief complaints of the patient were deformation of nail of the left first toe and induration under the nail. The simple X-ray image showed a light shadow in coincidence with the tumor part. The MRI view showed a tumor of a high signal with T2 emphasis. Exocitosis under the nail was considered, but extraction was enforced with no diagnosis. The tumor was seen in the basket case state, surrounding distal phalanx, and a part coalesced to distal phalanx. Recurrence was recognized with MRI from postoperative 1 month or so. Again the operation was carried out after 4 months. At present postoperative 2 years, there is no recurrence. The case was diagnosed with ecchondroma by the pathohistological image of extracted specimen. |
