| Abstract;I would like to refer to two notable points concerning legal problems in cosmetic treatment. One is that this category tends to attract legal disputes and the other is that the ruling, if made, is likely to be harsh for the defendant. These days, such trends are becoming more conspicuous. At the outset, this essay presents a general view of the legal issues in cosmetic medical treatment and then turns to the characteristics of disputes and subsequent litigation in this area, concluding by commenting on the Medical Practitioners Law and the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law in an attempt to clarify the legal problems pertinent to chemical peeling. For a better understanding of the matter, The "Q and A" method is adopted for individual issues. (author abst.) |
