Abstract; We applied artificial nail enhancement used in nail technology after the removal of an abnormal nail plate in 7 patients with onychogryphosis of the big toe. An artificial nail with a color similar to the patient's nail plate was prepared and applied to the nail bed. Patient satisfaction and growth of a normal nail plate were observed. Results: A normal nail plate grew in 6 patients. The length of normal nail plate growth was 9 mm (duration of observation: 7 months) and 7 mm (duration of observation: 3 months) in 1 patient each and about 1 mm (duration of observation: 3-10 months) in 4 patients. The normal nail plate did not grow in 1 patient during the observation period. However, all 7 patients were satisfied with the results. (author abst.)
