Abstract; We report three cases of canine scabies in a family. Case 1: A 68-year-old female developed a lot of pruritic papules and excoriations mainly on her trunk and upper extremities. Mites, Sarcoptes scabiei, were detected in scrapings from mite burrows on her wrists and palms. Case 2: A 71-year-old female developed pruritic papules on her trunk, where mite burrows were absent. Case 3: A 49-year-old male developed severe itchy eruptions on his whole body. Skin lesions in these three cases appeared after contact with their house dogs, which had severe alopecia and diagnosed as canine scabies. Those dogs were treated with injection of ivermectin. Three patients were successfully treated with topical crotamiton or corticosteroid. (author abst.)
