| Abstract;Cancer patients suffer from somatic pain, visceralgia, and neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain resists opioids but can be contained by steroids. However, steroids can cause serious side-effects. The reliability of steroids in their analgesic action is inferior to opioids, and their dose-dependent side-effects cannot be overlooked. Opioids should be considered before steroids as much as possible. The dosage, prescription method, duration of prescription, and types affect the incidence of side-effects of steroids. |
