| Abstract;A variety of adjuvant analgesics is currently used for control of neuropathic pain. Anticonvulsants are among those applied to control of neuropathic pain. They often exhibit efficacy against intermittent pain often described as "lancinating," or "prickling" by patients. Blood concentration necessary for use of anticonvulsants in pain control is considered equal to that required for its original purpose. Different combinations of adjuvant analgesics can enhance efficacy for pain control, but there is always a risk for increase or aggravation of side-effects. |
