Abstract;Opioids, nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug, adjuvant analgesics are prescribed, and chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery are performed against ostealgia provoked by bone metastasis of cancer. The efficacy of bis-phosphonate therapy against ostealgia is being presented by studies. Preparations of bis-phosphonate intravenous drip currently sold in Japan include pamidronate, alendronate, incadronate, and zoledronate. Recent studies indicate they can act directly against tumors when combined with chemotherapy.
