Abstract;Half of radiotherapy conducted in the country is used for palliative care in treating cancer patients. The great advantage of radiotherapy is its ability to tackle a tumor directly and reduce its volume. It could even help patients lengthen their healthy life expectancy by combining with drug therapy. It is also effective for containing sudden pain with 8 to 30 Gy of radiation dose. Managing neuropathic pain by radiotherapy requires massive dose with repeated application. Radiotherapy can even play an important role in improving patients' QOL.
