Abstract;Chemotherapy and radiotherapy can provoke a variety of symptoms such as oral mucosal disorder, nausea, emesis, diarrhea, skin problems, pyrexia, and malaise. Stomatitis can significantly impair oral functions, and negatively impacts both one's physical and psychological state. No sure method is currently known for prevention or treatment of stomatitis. Achieving the status of a compromised host through deterioration of general state and getting infections through leukopenia can act as facilitating factors for development and exacerbation of stomatitis. Oral hygiene is one important countermeasure. Instructions and extra caution should accompany prescription of anticancer drugs as they tend to induce stomatitis.
