| Abstract;Japanese beautiful scenery is being composed by traditional houses and towns made from natural materials and their components. Natural materials, however, have problems in the weakness of insulation, earthquake-resistant, fire prevention, crime prevention and durability performance. This study arranges necessary researches to improve these week points to promote housing and urban planning made of Japanese traditional natural materials. Hearing and review of the past researches and examinations, etc. bring necessary researches in the future. Especially, it is important to research the complex performance among each one. For example, we should test the fire protection synergy effect of traditional wall and fireproof insulation, etc. And also we find it is important the form restriction in the relationship between houses to make the houses last long which has not been researched so far.
