| Abstract;We develop a numerical code to compute synthetic seismograms for global scale earth structure models including lateral beterogeneity and anisotropy of seismic velocities. We perform preliminary numerical tests for the earth models of Su et al. (1994) and Oda (2005). We also improve the inversion method to determine temporal distribution of moment release of large earthquakes. We apply this method to the analysis of the main shock of the 2004 off the Kii peninsula earthquakes to find the temporal change of the source mechanism during the rupture. (author abst.) |
