| Abstract;A cyclonic eddy was found in the eastern channel of the Tsushima Straits in early winter 2004 by shipboard ADCP observations. High concentration of chlorophyll a was observed in the surface layer near the center of the cyclonic eddy. The water mass with low temperature, high salinity and low dissolved oxygen was also observed in the bottom layer of the eddy. (author abst.) |
