| Abstract;The concept of Motion Designing was used in the development of the new model STREAM to produce a vehicle that offers a sense of integration at every point of contact between vehicle and human user and that urges the owner to drive it. The aim of the design of the STREAM was to reproduce the dynamism of a high-performance sports coupe. A "Crouching Coupe Form" was the basis of the exterior design. In addition to this, the image of a "Silver Wolf" was adopted as a design motif, and the form was designed to express the sense of aggressiveness and sharpness suggested by that image. The design theme for the interior was "Modern Sporty Interior," representing a fusion between "Emotional Sports Cockpit" and "Modern Comfort." This has resulted in an advanced cockpit with comfortable, high-quality seats producing the feel of a cozy living space. (author abst.) |
