Abstract;Investigation was carried out for horizontal acceleration on the wind turbines installed on the floating structures of typical 3 types viz. lattice frame type, submerged type and spar-buoy type under the several storm conditions. And also investigation was carried out for the relations between the motion characteristics of each type of floating structure and necessary specifications for wind turbines installed on them. As result, a new submerged floating structure suitable for power generation by wind turbine on the ocean is proposed and named "Hybrid floating structure". In addition, the allowable acceleration in operation and marginal acceleration in storm for each type of floating structure are proposed and the effective process for planning the new type of offshore structure for wind turbines is suggested.
