Abstract;The floating offshore wind power unit had been proposed. This unit was box-girder type floating structure with two wind turbines. As the float is moved by wave and wind, the inertia force of the turbine unit is acting on the float and the large bending moment is acting on the base of turbine tower. To decrease the inertia force of the wind turbine, the wind turbine has light-weight and low center of gravity turbine system. In this paper, the light-weight wind turbine by using of the hydraulic system is proposed. To verify the effects of the light-weight wind turbine, forced oscillating tests of the model tower with rotating turbine in wind tunnel were carried out. (author abst.)
