| Abstract;Photochemical oxidant concentrations observed around Osaka Bay, especially in warm season have increasing tendency in recent years, though the concentrations of primary pollutants, for example nitrogen oxides, have slightly decreased. It is widely recognized that air quality environment around coastal urban area are associated with meteorological condition such as sea-land breeze and pollutant sources derived from human activities. In this study, sea and land breeze properties around Osaka Bay were analyzed by using the data obtained by the Meteorological Agency and the Environmental Ministry of Japan. The diurnal changes in photochemical oxidants when peak concentration events were observed, were discussed on the aspect of sea and land breeze. In order to clarify the regional affection derived from sea-land breezes, the relationship between photochemical oxidant concentration and sea breeze index were discussed, and significant correlation were not obtained.
