| Abstract;Thoracic spine is unlike lumbar spine. Spinous process hangs down for caudal side. When a persistence method is used, cleanliness of epidural catheter is required. When a patient complains a pain by subcutaneous infiltration anesthesia, a block is suspended because inflammation is suspected. After chemical grouting, effect of block, blood pressure, respiration, and consciousness are observed. There is little possibility of difficulty walking and ischuria when thoracic epidural block is used. Thoracic epidural block for lower part may weaken quadriceps femoris muscle. Blood pressure and motor nerve are observed when high concentration is used. |
