Abstract;Cervical nerve root block is a reliable auxiliary diagnosis of cervical diseases and is valued as a powerful conservative treatment. Techniques of block of first and second spinal ganglion and lateral and posterior approaches in the block of C3 to C8 nerve roots are introduced. The block can be safely carried out with X-ray fluoroscopy and contrast media. Complications include intravenous injection, arterial injection, subarachnoidal block, and nerve damage. The cervical nerve root block can be applied for root disease by cervical diseases, postherpetic neuralgia, headache, complex regional pain syndrome, and cancer pain.
